Waxling is a pacific-northwest art rock and dream pop outfit led by multi-instrumentalist Henry Lingg. From lush harmonies, haunting strings, and complex drums, Waxling attempts to capture emotions through narritive storytelling in music, both lyrically and through composition.

Waxling was founded at the beginning of 2025, and released their first album, LANTERNS on July 21st of the same year. Lanterns is a concept album which tells a story of a broken narrator navigating through the perils of human connection. It features seamless song transitions, vibraphone, odd time signatures, and impressive guitar work partially recorded by Dylan Steed.

Lanterns also features performances by Daniel Mun (Cello), Cindy Liang (Viola), Kaitlin Nguyen (Violin), John Thornburg from Asterhouse (Drums and Vocals), and Amber Joy (Vocals). Additionally, the cover art was created by Marley Gathmann, and the album was mastered by Mick Morrison.

Waxling has played a number of venues in the pacific northwest, largely in the Seattle area. In order to capture the complexity of the recorded material, the Waxling live band pulls talent from the Seattle scene, including the likes of Kaitlin Nguyen on strings, Alex Rutter on drums, and Dave Lingg on keys.

You can listen to Lanterns on all platforms now, and check out our live show schedule for 2026. We hope you enjoy!
